Summary of the weekend getaway to visit Heathcote Wine and Food Festival in Victoria
We arrived in Heathcote on Friday evening, being a bit peckish; I got myself two pieces of the country fried kitchen from a takeaway shop. We check in to our cabin and unpacked and settle down to relax. The girls enjoy their time talking while I passed out on the bed.
I woke up at around 6.30 am and walk over to the bakery for coffee and chunky steak pie. We met everyone at the Heathcote Showgrounds, not long everyone wandered around and doing wine tasting. For me, I am not a drinker instead I enjoy my food and chillax in the sunshine collecting vitamin D and a tan.
It’s my first time going to an event of this kind, Heathcote Wine & Food Festival is just the right amount of people, wine and food stalls. It was fun being out with a few friends from our Outdoor and Life Adventures group. Great atmosphere and well organised, I would recommend this festival to anyone interested in a day trip away from the city life.
